After Hollywood star Alec Baldwin's fatal shot at a camerawoman, the investigation focuses on the gun master and the assistant director of the film shoot.
The 24-year-old weapons master Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was responsible for the misfortune weapon and two others during the shoot, as quoted by the US media on Saturday from a preliminary police investigation report.
Assistant director Dave Halls had handed Baldwin the gun during rehearsal for a scene with the note that it was a "cold gun".
In film jargon, this means that it does not contain live ammunition.
Halls "didn't know the gun was loaded with live ammunition," the police report said.
The 63-year-old US actor Baldwin apparently accidentally shot the 42-year-old camerawoman Halyna Hutchins on Thursday while filming the western "Rust" in New Mexico when he was firing a prop gun.
Director Joel Souza stood behind the camerawoman and suffered a shoulder injury in the incident.
He was first taken to a hospital, but was later released.
Anger about working conditions on the set
On the recordings of the emergency call published on Saturday after the accident, an employee on the set said: “We have two people who were accidentally shot with a prop weapon. We need help right away. "When asked if the gun was loaded with real ammunition, she said," I can't tell you. " yelled at ... He should control the guns, he's responsible for what happens on the set. "
According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, there had been tension on the set a few hours before the fatal accident.
Six members of the film team left the filming because of anger about the working conditions.
Baldwin's stunt double had accidentally shot twice with a gun on Saturday.
Gutierrez-Reed is the daughter of longtime Hollywood gunsmith Thell Reed.
The 24-year-old spoke in a podcast in September about her first film assignment for the western "The Old Way" with Nicolas Cage.
“I was really nervous at first and almost didn't take the job because I wasn't sure I was ready.
But when I did it, everything went fine, ”she said.
