Tax: only 3.6% municipalities participated in contrast evasion

(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 23 - Only 3.6% of municipalities (279 out of 7,656) participated with their activities in combating tax evasion in 2020 compared to the previous year's 387. This can be read in a study by the UIL just published in which it is emphasized that overall in 2020 the sums due to the municipalities for participation in the tax and contribution assessment activities for the year 2020 amounted to € 6.5 million, down by 16 , 5% compared to the previous year. Municipalities located in Trentino-Alto Adige that have their own specific legislation are excluded from the analysis. Among all the municipalities that activated the tax evasion activity last year there are 54 provincial capitals.The most virtuous municipality is San Giovanni in Persiceto with almost a million while Rome has collected only 82 thousand euros. At the level of individual municipalities - explains the federal secretary Ivana Veronese - the Municipality of San Giovanni inPersiceto (BO), last year, recovered 912 thousand euros, followed by the City of Genoa which collected 473 thousand euros; Turin 404 thousand euros; Milan 350 thousand euros; Bologna 310 thousand euros; Prato 236 thousand euros; Brescia 225 thousand euros; Bergamo 188 milaeuro; Modena 185 thousand euros; Rimini 167 thousand euros. While if we analyze the data referring to the metropolitan cities, in addition to the already mentioned Genoa, Turin, Milan and Bologna - continues - Florence and Rome have collected only 82 thousand euros; Venice 56 thousand euros; Naples 21 thousand euros; Reggio Calabria 18 thousand euros; Messina 3,679 euros; Palermo 2,116 euros; Catania 1,479 euros;Barie Cagliari have not recovered anything.
