However, the trend clearly shows that the large German retail chains such as Aldi, Lidl or Edeka are resisting the exclusion of the corresponding customers.
Kaufland is now also positioning itself against the implementation of 2G.
In a statement, the company from Baden-Württemberg, which belongs to the Schwarz Group, states:
“As a food retailer who ensures basic supplies, we are not affected by the 2G regulation.
We will not implement this either in or outside of Hesse.

Therefore, when shopping, neither a 2G rule nor the 3G rule make sense.
