Two people were killed in a serious traffic accident in Berlin and others were seriously injured.
According to the fire department, a car and a tram collided in the Lichtenberg district.
As the police announced on Sunday, the driver of the car and an occupant were killed.
The 46-year-old ran a transport company.
Its passengers were 23, 25 and 31 years old.
The 25-year-old passenger had to be resuscitated at the scene of the accident and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
He died there on Sunday.
The other two passengers were also seriously injured and were taken to a clinic for inpatient treatment.
The tram derailed due to the force of the impact.
The driver suffered a shock and the 30 guests traveling on the tram were uninjured according to previous knowledge.
Because of the rescue work and accident recording, the accident site was closed for almost five hours.
More than 50 rescue workers and 20 vehicles were in action.
