(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 24 - The 70-year-old Dante Sestito, originally from Cutro, in the Crotone area and residing in CadelboscoSopra, was arrested during the night by the Carabinieri - in Reggiano, manager, in the Emilian town, of the 'Dante Gomme' tire spare parts workshop. On the basis of the reconstruction made by the military yesterday at about 3.30 pm, inside the workshop, the man - during a litescurita for reasons still under investigation - killed Salvatore Silipo 28 with a pistol shot, a native of Crotone and a resident of Gualtieri.
During the night the accused was questioned in the offices of the Carabinieri Investigative Unit in Reggio Emilia by the prosecutor, Dr. Giannusa, in the presence of the lawyer, making use of the right not to answer. The 70-year-old had been blocked and disarmed by the intervention of two Carabinieri from a patrol from the Castelnovo Sotto station - in transit in the tire presses and headed to the stadium to carry out public order service - alerted by the presence in the street of a cousin of the victim. The pistol, a 'Smith & Wesson' 44 Magnum revolver, illegally detained and found stolen, was seized along with 18 rounds, one of which exploded.
