Negotiations between Unicredit and Mef on Monte dei Paschi have been interrupted

(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 24 - It is official: "despite the commitment made by both parties", UniCredit and the Minister of Economy and Finance have interrupted negotiations "relating to the potential acquisition of a defined perimeter of Banca Monte dei Paschi of Siena ".

It can be read in a joint note which sanctions the interruption of the negotiations anticipated on Saturday.
