Adrenaline and amorality: Heike Makatsch's third »Tatort« mission as Commissioner Berlinger is about a blind witness who comes into contact with a murderer.

The scenario:

Breaking out of the role of victim.

The blind student Rosa (Henriette Nagel) survived a gas station robbery in which the cashier was shot.

The perpetrator (Anica Happich) then attaches herself to the witness.

But even though Rosa recognizes the other by the perfume, she gets in close contact with her - so she hopes to escape the tutelage of her parents.

Commissioner Berlinger (Heike Makatsch) and colleague Rascher (Sebastian Blomberg) can only watch helplessly as their blind witness slides away on the motorcycle passenger seat of the wanted murderer.

The highlight:

From the supposed defenselessness to the lustful self-empowerment: In this »crime scene« the old thriller motif of the blind witness who faces the threat of the physically superior perpetrator is cleverly turned inside out.

Unfortunately, those responsible were probably afraid of their own courage halfway through and take a little steam out of the unleashing action.

The picture:

Inspector with swollen pepper spray face: Faster clings to the young blind witness to protect her, and she sprays him with a defense spray on a lonely street.

Another time, Rascher is thrown out of the car by the bus driver because he believes he is harassing the young woman.

The dialogue:

The blind witness Rosa in conversation with the petrol station killer Sophie:

Rosa: "Why are you doing that with the gas stations?"

Sophie: "Adrenaline, serotonin, dopamine."

Rosa: "And when you killed the man?"

Sophie: "Too much serotonin, adrenaline, dopamine."

The music:

The score comes from Oli Biehler, who skilfully switches from threateningly smoldering passages in power reefs.

A good, energetic driver for this risky self-liberation story.

The review:

6 out of 10 points.

Adrenaline and amorality: after a three-year “Tatort” break, this third episode with Heike Makatsch as commissioner starts well at the beginning - but does not quite keep the radical course.
