INA to launch political program in 2022

From the first news broadcast in 1949 to the launch of Arte in 1992, the National Audiovisual Institute (INA) keeps every minute of French television, radio and web programs.

A rich heritage of 22 million hours of images and sounds, which make the institution the owner of the largest catalog of digitized audiovisual content in the world.

A treasure stored in a brand new data center, the power of which is equivalent to some eighty trillion computers.

But basically, what for?

“This immense reservoir of archives has no value unless it is shared.

It must be seen by all audiences, including young people,

”believes Laurent Vallet, appointed head of INA in 2015 and reappointed until 2025. The company has stepped down from its role of guardian of the temple to mutate into a medium.

An editorial department of 110 people was formed, including an editorial staff of 25 journalists.
