In the terror trial before the Munich Higher Regional Court, ISIS returnees Jennifer W. was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment.
The court found her guilty of membership in a terrorist organization abroad, of aiding and abetting attempted murder and attempted war crimes - and of crimes against humanity in the case of an enslaved and killed child.
The federal prosecutor's office had accused the 30-year-old from Lohne in Lower Saxony of having watched in Iraq while her then-husband chained a five-year-old Yezidi girl in a courtyard and let her die of thirst there.
She was originally charged with murder and war crimes, among other charges.
The federal prosecutor's office had demanded a life sentence, the defense against a maximum of two years imprisonment for membership in the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS).
