Preparation
How do you make meatballs and rice from Maklova?
1 The
patties:
Mix minced meat, onion, garlic, bread crumbs, egg, salt and pepper in a bowl and place in the refrigerator for half an hour.
2 Pinch medium-sized patties, flatten slightly and fry in a non-stick pan with a little oil for about 1-3 minutes on each side (this is fine if they are not completely cooked).
3
Cook the rice half-cooked:
Put the rice in a pot full of water, bring to a boil and cook for 6-8 minutes.
Strain, transfer to a bowl and season with salt and oil.
Stir and set aside.
4
Assemble the stew:
Place the baking paper in a 24 cm diameter pot, arrange a layer of sliced tomatoes, top with patties and another layer of sliced tomatoes. Sprinkle with garlic and parsley and arrange the rice over a uniform layer.
5 Mix the turmeric, pepper and bhart with the water or soup and pour over the rice.
Cover, cook on low heat for about 25 minutes and remove from the heat.
6 Set aside to rest for 10 minutes and only then turn the pot over on a serving plate, sprinkle with parsley and serve hot.
