After the fatal shot while filming the western "Rust" in New Mexico, the Santa Fe authorities published a recorded emergency call.
Script supervisor Mamie Mitchell removed him from the set shortly after the incident.
Emergency call center: "911, where did the emergency occur?"
Mamie Mitchell, Script Supervisor:
“We need an ambulance at Bonanza Creek Ranch right now. Here two people were accidentally shot on a film set. "
"You said someone was shot?"
"Two people accidentally shot on a movie set at Bonanza Creek Ranch."
The 911 call suggests that camerawoman Halyna Hutchins was shot with a sharp prop weapon.
But not who was responsible for the accident.
"Was it loaded with a real bullet?"
“I can't tell you that. We got two injured by a gunshot from a movie gun. "
“We're going to send the ambulances out. Just stay with me on the phone. "
“That damn assistant director who yelled at me over lunch for asking for improvements, that w ******. Did you see how he yelled at me? She should check the gun, she's responsible for what happened ... "
Baldwin aimed directly at the camera during a rehearsal and shot the camerawoman with the film gun and injured the director of the film.
Emergency call center:
“Please stay on the line. I'll tell you exactly what to do next, okay? I will tell you how to stop the bleeding. Listen carefully and make sure we do it right. "
Crew member: "We have a paramedic on set."

The focus of the police investigation is the assistant director Dave Halls.
He had given lead actor and producer Alec Baldwin a gun on the set with the words "Cold Gun" on it.
The technical term indicates that it is a »cold«, ie unloaded and safe handgun - supposedly.
The assistant director had already been fired from another production two years ago because of a gun accident.
At that time a crew member was slightly injured.
