(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 26 - From the first light of dawn, a vast anti-crime operation by the State Police is underway in Latina, coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rome. 33 precautionary measures were carried out against as many people suspected, for various reasons, of criminal association of the mafia type, drug trafficking and drug trafficking, extortion, kidnapping, theft, detention and abusive carrying of weapons. The investigation led to the hypothesis of the existence of a new mafia association of local origin, attributable to the clan of Giuseppe Di Silvio, known as Romolo. The organization, structured on a family and territorial basis, would have become the protagonist in Latina of very serious criminal episodes, always taking root more and more in the territory,both with drug dealing and extortion.
