At least two people have been shot dead in a mall in Idaho, USA.
In addition, at least four other people were injured in the incident on Monday in the city of Boise.
The police said at a press conference.
A suspect was arrested.
"At this point, we are assuming that only a single shooter was involved and that this incident no longer poses any danger to the general public," said the police officer in charge.
He couldn't say anything about the motive for the crime.
In the early afternoon (local time) there were first reports of shots in the mall, the police said.
Emergency services would then have arrested a suspect very quickly.
A Boise police officer was among the injured.
City Mayor Lauren McLean said, "I want to thank the shopkeepers and the people in the mall for responding so quickly and taking care of the people who were there."
There are more than 150 stores in the Boise Towne Square Mall.
Boise has a population of around 230,000 and is the capital of the state of Idaho.
