To gauge the mood of Italians in this regard, ANSA and DataMediaHub investigated the issue by analyzing the online conversations (social + online news + blogs and forums) on the subject over the last seven days.

In the last week there have been more than 22 thousand online citations relating to "pensions", by over 4 thousand unique authors, whose contents have involved (like + reaction + shares and comments) almost 160 thousand people.

Volumes not extraordinarily high to be honest, if compared to those of other analyzes that we have conducted in the recent past on other topics, but which obtain an “opportunity to be seen” of over 224 billion impressions.

Even with a reasonable estimate of 5% of actual versus potential for impressions, actual exposures to content related to pensions are 11.2 billion, gross of duplications.

Values ​​generated by the wide media coverage of the topic, as shown by the word cloud with the most active accounts, including that of ANSA, and as confirmed by the graph of the ten most used emojis in association with the theme in first place the emoji of a newspaper as a synonym for information about it.

Emojis that are also the thermometer of sentiment, emotions, people, with a clear prevalence of angry faces. And in fact, on the whole, the clear prevalence of a negative sentiment on the issue emerges.

The word cloud, the word cloud with the terms most associated with online retirement conversations, also provides additional insights into this. Beyond the individual themes, which can be seen in detail in the infographic, what emerges clearly is almost a contrast between citizenship income and the pension system in terms of resources to be allocated for one thing rather than the other.
