Halloween costumes 2021: last-minute tips for scary disguises

Whether for a party or for “Trick or Treat”, which is again at least partially possible after Corona *: Dressing up belongs to Halloween like a crazy laugh to a film villain.

The good thing is: You already have most of the equipment for many scary costumes at home.

Only make-up paint and, if necessary, colored hairspray are additionally required for some Halloween * disguises.

We present the following last-minute costumes:

  • ghost

  • mummy

  • Skull

  • Halloween pumpkin

  • Cruella de Vil

  • vampire

Halloween 2021: ghost as a last-minute costume - a real classic

Let's start with what is probably the simplest of all Halloween costumes: the specter.

Some might call it unimaginative, but it's a real Halloween classic.

Just throw an old sheet over you.

Then mark the place where the eyes and mouth are with a pencil.

Then just cut out three circles in those places and the costume is ready.

A rattling chain creates the special effect - so that the castle ghost can haunt the area.

Halloween costume: mummy as a last-minute disguise - all items already in the household

The mummy is just as simple, effective and suitable for those who don't like make-up like the castle ghost.

And more last-minute with a costume is hardly possible.

Simply put on a white or gray T-shirt, light-colored trousers and then wrap gauze bandages around your entire body.

They are then attached to pants and T-shirt with safety pins.

If you don't have that much gauze bandage, you can also use toilet paper.

But everyone should be careful not to spill the drinks, otherwise the costume will dissolve.

Leave the face free from the wraps.

If you want, you can put pale make-up on your face and use gray and black around the eyes - to perfect the undead look.

Skull make-up: Halloween costume has grown in popularity in recent years

In recent years they have become more and more popular: skulls or so-called skulls.

There are no limits to creativity with this Halloween costume.

Whether over the whole face or just over half of the face - who applies make-up and how, is up to you.

If you want to put make-up on a skull on your face, you just need a little patience and, in the best case, should have waved a make-up brush.

First, the entire face is made up pale to white.

Black circles are then drawn with black kohl below the cheekbones.

The contours must also be enhanced with black on the nose, around the eyes and below the hairline.

Next, the marked areas on the cheeks and nose are colored in with black paint.

The final step is to paint your mouth.

To do this, draw a black line over the lip to the contoured cheekbones.

Draw smaller vertical lines as teeth - et voilà: the skull is perfect.

A simple, black outfit is recommended to draw attention to the face.

Last minute costume: Halloween pumpkin possible in two versions

The next tip for a last minute Halloween costume works similarly to the skull, only with different colors.

You can also dress up as a pumpkin.

Just an orange t-shirt and orange or black pants.

The make-up works similarly to the skull, except that orange is used instead of a white primer.

Then underlay the mouth, eyes and nose with black again.

Alternatively, there is also a variant for those who don't like make-up.

All you have to do is cut out two triangles and a jagged mouth - as is typical with Halloween pumpkins - from a black fabric.

Then simply fix this on the orange t-shirt.

Halloween costume 2021: Disney villain Cruella de Vil also possible spontaneously

Halloween is the festival that bad guys are celebrated.

One of the most famous Disney villains is probably Cruella de Vil from "101 Dalmatians".

One thing is particularly important for the costume: the hairstyle.

One side black, the other white.

Either colored washable hairspray or a wig can be used for this.

Then use the colors black, white and red for clothing.

And you are the dreaded film villain.

As a little highlight, a fabric Dalmatian can also be taken on a leash.

Halloween costume: vampire as a last-minute disguise

Finally, a classic: the vampire.

Even with this last-minute Halloween costume, it is important to put on pale make-up and underlay the eyes with black or gray.

Then paint a drop of red blood in the corner of your mouth that runs down your throat.

Pointed teeth can either be bought everywhere, but alternatively they can also be easily made up.

Now there are no more excuses: If you come to the party on Halloween undisguised, you simply didn't feel like the horror factor.

Because it couldn't have been because of the time.

After all, there are a multitude of costumes that are real shockers even at the last minute.
