According to police, four people were injured in a knife attack in Vienna.
According to initial reports, a 35-year-old first grabbed a knife in a snack bar and then randomly attacked several passers-by outside, the police said.
The suspect was arrested.
"A political or religious motive is considered unlikely after initial investigations," said the police.
According to Austrian media reports, there are indications that the alleged perpetrator is mentally ill.
None of the four victims is in mortal danger.
The injured are two women and two men between 48 and 64 years of age.
