Di Maio, Italy supports relaunching EU attention on Latin America © ANSA
(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 26 - Foreign Minister Luigi DiMaio opened the work of the 10th Italy-Latin America and Caribbean Conference in Rome after having welcomed, yesterday afternoon, the delegations that arrived in Italy for the summit and also met on the sidelines some individual Central and South American ministers. Also yesterday afternoon, there was also space for the special event presenting the results of the 'Falcon-Borsellino' program on the culture of legality, which in the third session saw the participation, among others, of the Minister of Justice Marta Cartabia, of the owner of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese and Di Maio himself. This is the most attended edition of the Conference ever, with 17 ministers and 10 deputy ministers. There will also be three women who will chair as many sessions of the Conference:Alexandra Hill Tinoco, minister of El Salvador, Kamina Johnson Smith, minister of Jamaica and Keisal Peters, minister of Saint Vincent and Grenadine, in fact, will respectively direct the works of the panels 'People', 'Planet' and 'Prosperity'.
