39 precautionary measures were issued for the importation and trafficking of drugs, including fentanyl and Ghb (the rape drug). Also involved is Claudia Rivelli, sister of the actress Ornella Muti. The Nas carabinieri, coordinated by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office, carried out a precautionary custody order against 39 people accused, among other crimes, of importing and trafficking drugs including fentanyl, Ghb (the drug of rape), synthetic cathinones and other pharmacological principles belonging to the category of 'New psychoactive substances', purchased on the deep and darkweb. The operation was carried out with the collaboration of Ris and Europol.

According to what has emerged from the investigations, the people involved are both criminals habitually active in drug trafficking but also professionals from the private sector or public administration.

Among the subjects reached by precautionary measures also a lawyer, a dentist, an official of a local authority and a middle school teacher who even sent shipments containing synthetic drugs to the school.

Self-laundering is also among the alleged crimes.

Among the people arrested there is also

Claudia Rivelli

, 71, actress and sister of actress

Ornella Muti

.

Against the woman, reached by the precautionary measure of house arrest, the accusation is of import and transfer of narcotic substances.

Rivelli had already been arrested on September 15 after three bottles with one liter of Gbl substance were found by Polaria agents in her home in Rome. As part of the direct trial, the woman defended herself by stating that she had sent the substance to her son who lives in London "because he uses it to clean the car" while she uses it to "polish silverware". In the charge, cited in the order, it is stated that the suspect has illegally imported from Holland, on a quarterly basis, various bottles of Gbl, sending part of it to his son resident in London after having replaced the packaging and label indicating ' shampoo 'in order to mislead customs. "

"What at first glance would appear to be a 'niche' traffic, devolved only to some 'lovers' of the sector, turned out to be much more extensive and fueled by pressing consumer requests" writes the investigating judge Roberto Saulino in the ordinance with which ordered the precautionary measures.

The investigations have "revealed the modus operandi adopted for importing dangerous drugs from abroad. More specifically, one method involves online ordering, payment and receipt of shipments directly from foreign suppliers", adds the investigating judge.
