(ANSA) - MILAN, OCTOBER 27 - Mediobanca closed the first quarter of the 2021/22 financial year with a net profit of 262 million euros, up 31% compared to the 200 million in the same period last year and higher than the 225 million expected by the consensus of analysts. Revenues stood at € 706 million, up 13%, against a consensus of € 665 million. Mediobanca speaks of a "brilliant start of the year", with record commissions for the first time over 200 million and an interest margin recovering, thanks to "a lively and sustainable growth of all divisions". On the stock market, the stock rose by 1.2% to € 10.55. Generali also made a contribution with the Principal Investing division which saw profits grow by 87.4% to € 97 million. (HANDLE).
