The company reacted immediately - and issued an urgent warning.
The organic supermarket chain has recalled the product "Alnatura ground almonds" with the best before dates March 22nd, 2022 and May 20th, 2022.
The goods had already been taken out of sale, said a spokeswoman for the Darmstadt-based company on Tuesday.

As a precaution, buyers of the tiger nuts should therefore no longer eat them, Alnatura warns.
The tiger nuts with the stated best-before date can be returned to the respective markets, where there are of course replacements, ”the company writes on its website.
Other best-before dates of the product and other Alnatura products are not affected by the recall, it says.
