New turn of the screw in Loire-Atlantique.
After an epidemic rebound, the prefecture decided on Thursday to extend the obligation to wear a mask in closed places, until November 19, in the municipalities of the country of Ancenis and Châteaubriant, according to Ouest-France.
This restriction therefore only concerns part of the Loire-Atlantique department.
Following the advice of the Regional Health Agency (ARS), the prefecture is putting this measure in place, faced with a more active circulation of Covid-19 in recent days.
In concrete terms, all people aged 11 and over will be required to wear a mask in closed places (bars, restaurants, cinemas, museums, sports halls) but also during activities subject to the health pass (trade fairs, fairs , concerts…).

Likewise, festive musical gatherings and the movement of heavy goods vehicles carrying sound equipment to these gatherings are now prohibited.
A measure that clearly targets rave parties.
Last weekend, these restrictions first concerned the municipalities of the Pays de Retz in the southwest of the department.
A "slight but sensitive recovery" of the virus
Government spokesman Gabriel Attal confirmed Wednesday at the end of the Council of Ministers "a slight but noticeable resumption" of the epidemic in the territory.
The "virus reproduction rate, that is to say the number of people an infected person in turn infects, (is) again above one", with 5,400 cases detected per day in average, ie "an increase of nearly 16% over a week", even if "we are starting from a low level", he added.
However, vaccination coverage now at over 80% in France "allows us to hope for better control of the epidemic and even a relatively calm winter, because this vaccine protects very effectively and durably against serious forms", a- he argues.
