The INPGI, the national social security institute for Italian journalists, will converge into the INPS from 1 July, with the relative '' active and passive contributions. "This is what one of the articles of the draft of the Budget Law provides with the maneuver. The law also establishes that the pension scheme for journalists will conform to that of the INPS, without prejudice to what accrued as of June 30, 2022. "In particular - it is written - for the insured with the replacement management of the INPGI, the amount of the pension it is determined by the sum: a) of the pension shares corresponding to the contributory seniority acquired up to 30 June 2022 calculated by applying the provisions in force at the INPGI;b) the portion of the pension corresponding to the contribution seniority acquired as from 1 July 2022, applying the provisions in force in the Employee Pension Fund ".

"The Council of Ministers has included in the text of the Stability Law the provision that will allow the partial passage of members from the LNPGI to the LNPS from 1 July 2022. This is one of the two hypotheses formulated by the Commission established at the Presidency of the Council at which the Inpgi participated together with the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Finance, INPS and the Presidency of the Council itself. It will happen from 1 July 2022 and will have no impact on current and future pension amounts.
