"Because such a coastal band attracts a lot of attention, in recent years a lot of visitors have come to watch sharks and even started to enter the water - divers, snorkelers, swimmers, surfers, saps and just visitors," explains Brush.

"The congestion and overcrowding at the site create an illogical situation where dozens of people stand in the way of several dozen large wildlife. Although sharks are delicate animals, the level of congestion and stress creates an unexpected situation that should be avoided."

In fact, entering the water in front of the Hadera River estuary is prohibited by law, and last year, when visitor pressure rose to unreasonable amounts, the Hadera municipality began enforcing the ban on entering the site.

The municipality also stated that it will also enforce and file reports this year.

In recent years, a joint project has been operating in Nahal Hadera, which includes a number of green bodies and the Hadera Municipality and Nahalim Company, which is responsible for tourism in the city. This project works to regulate the arrival and use of the site, while maintaining maximum safety for people and animals. As part of the project, a shark observation deck was designed on the north side of the creek estuary. However, the plan was halted several years ago and did not continue, until the month when an impressive promenade was suddenly built on the north side of the creek. However, the boardwalk is not high enough, and far from the shark gathering area, and is irrelevant to shark watching.

"Shark Association in Israel is interested in allowing the public to enjoy, be impressed and learn from the encounter with the sharks, in a way that does not harm the animals themselves and does not interfere with the natural conduct as much as possible. Arrive at Hadera and what the future holds for them.

The association asks the visitors not to enter the water in the area where swimming is prohibited.

This area is also the main area where sharks swim and it is important that it remains undisturbed.
