Lidl, Rewe, Edeka & Co .: Emergency purchases are possible
In some train stations and airports, the supermarkets have opened their doors despite a public holiday.
This is also the case in Munich Central Station.
Here you can shop at Rewe and Edeka, among others.
There is also the possibility to buy groceries in the Edeka in the Ostbahnhof.
Emergency purchases can be made not only at the train stations, but also at Munich Airport.
The Edeka there is open until 8 p.m.
Instead of a supermarket: buy alternatives to groceries
Delivery services offer a convenient way to get groceries without having to leave your house or apartment yourself. The providers Gorillas and Getir deliver products from the supermarket right to your doorstep. And Lieferando brings the food from your favorite Italian. Petrol stations, kiosks and farm shops are also open on public holidays. However, the opening times may differ. If all of this is too cumbersome for you, you can simply go to the restaurant to eat. Catering establishments are also allowed to receive and serve guests on public holidays.
In Bavaria, the so-called Federal Shop Closing Act applies on public holidays.
It stipulates that shops must be closed on public holidays.
At the same time, there are a number of exceptions that apply to bakeries and pharmacies, for example.
From tomorrow everything will be back to normal.
The next public holiday in Bavaria is then only the 1st Christmas holiday in December.
