Four gas cartridges for the soda stream and a clear result.
A Twitter user did the ultimate "Sprudel Counter" test.
Munich - With a soda stream you save yourself the annoying soda crate - you have to take care of the gas cartridges regularly.
With the help of a CO2 cylinder, the Sodastream device transforms the still tap water into sparkling fizz.
The cartridges are now available from many suppliers.
If you want to save some money, you don't have to buy the original cylinder, you can also buy cheaper products in other supermarkets or discounters.
A resourceful Twitter user has now tested whether the cheaper versions can keep up with the original.
The result is clear.
Sodastream self-test: This is how the cheap cartridges fare
Twitter user "Herr O'Lecker" tested four cartridges for their fizziness. Two identical ones from Sodastream, one from Aldi and one from Edeka's own brand "Gut & Favorable". With the help of a tally sheet, he recorded how many liters of tap water he could carbonate with the respective cartridges. He posts the result on his Twitter channel. His conclusion: all four gush over 60 liters. One of the original cartridges creates the most with 65.6 liters, the Aldi cartridge creates a little less with 62.4 liters. The conclusion of the lay tester: "Just take the cheapest and good."
#servicetweet on the hot topic of soda stream cartridges: I've scientifically tested it for you.
• Sodastream: 65.6 l
• Sodastream: 63.2 l
• Good & cheap: 64 l
• Aldi: 62.4 l
So just take the cheapest and good.
All take back all deposit cartridges.

Sodastream cartridges: Slight differences
In fact, the differences between the individual cartridges are therefore very small.
The "Sprudel Counter" test can, however, be very helpful when deciding which cartridge to buy.
In addition, Sodastream users can save a cent or two.
By the way: a soda maker is also a good present for Christmas.
This year one should not wait until shortly before to get presents for loved ones.
Because of the delivery bottlenecks and the lack of material, experts advise doing your Christmas shopping this year particularly early.
