ROME - A tribute to the female world, but above all an invitation to unhinge the oppressive logic of gender violence, beyond centuries and cultures: November 5 will be "Nu-shu The lost words of women", the new stage action by Raffaele Curi, to celebrate the awaited reopening of the Arch of Janus, the only honorary arch with a quadrangular plan in the center of the city, named after the two-faced god precisely because of its shape, closed to the public after the attack on 28 July 1993. Built by the sons of Constantine to celebrate him after his death in the fourth century, the monument among the main ones of the Foro Boario will in fact be accessible free of charge starting from 13 November, thanks to the synergy between the Special Superintendence of Rome and the Alda Fendi - Experiments Foundation. The public will therefore be able to visit it every Saturday, from 10 to 14, and from the last Sunday of March, with daylight saving time from 16 to 20. On the evening of 5 November, at 21.15 and then at 21.45, the 9-minute Curi action will highlight this reopening in sign of Nu-shu, the only exclusively female language in the world, a secret language developed in China long ago by the women of the Yao people, in the province of Hunan, and jealously guarded and handed down for generations, with the aim of not to be understood by men. In a scene moved only by a man, 70 sumptuous wedding kimonos in white silk, will evoke the presence and stories of as many women, called by Curi to reveal to the public their face and the strength of their voice on the notes of the air "Je veux vivre dans le rêve "from" Romeo et Juliette "by Charles Gounod, in the version of the soprano Nadine Sierra.
