Britney Spears sharply attacked her mother Lynne in an Instagram post that has now been deleted and blamed her for the years of guardianship by her father.

“My father may have started guardianship 13 years ago, but what people don't know is that it was my mother who gave him the idea,” Spears said.

Several media outlets report on the post and show screenshots of the text.

Accordingly, Spears also wrote: "My father is not smart enough to ever think of guardianship."

The years under the tutelage of her father Jamie will "never get back," said the pop singer.

Her mother has secretly ruined her life, but has an “I-have-no-idea-what's-going-on” attitude ”.

Spears posted several middle finger emojis.

Jamie Spears deposed as guardian

At the end of September, a US court ruled that Jamie Spears should be deposed as Britney Spears' guardian.

This is "in the best interests" of the singer, said judge Brenda Penny.

In doing so, she complied with a request from Britney Spears attorneys.

Accountant John Zabel was temporarily appointed as financial guardian.

A court hearing has been set for November 12th to examine whether Spears' guardianship will end entirely.

Jamie Spears has been his daughter's guardian since 2008 after she collapsed mentally due to personal and professional problems. Initially, he managed Britney Spears' wealth and private affairs. In 2019 he stepped down, but remained responsible for finances. In mid-August, he surprisingly announced that he would resign as guardian. At the beginning of September he even pleaded for the guardianship to be ended completely.

Before the court ruling, it became known that Britney Spears had apparently been under massive surveillance for years under her father's tutelage: a bugging device was installed in the singer's bedroom, and data had been copied from her cell phone, according to a documentary in the New York Times .

The newspaper relies on material that was provided by a former employee of the security company Black Box.

A lawyer for Jamie Spears stressed that all measures were within the scope of the powers conferred by the court.
