(ANSA) - NEW YORK, NOV 04 - Kirk Douglas sexually abused Natalie Wood in a Hollywood hotel in 1955, when the actress was just a 16-year-old teenager.

Natalie's sister Lana Wood denounces this in her book 'Little Sister', according to American media reports.

Lana was in the car with her mother when Natalie walked into the Chateau Marmont hotel to meet Douglas. "Something bad had apparently happened to my sister but since I was too young they didn't talk to me about it," writes Lanache who was 8 years old at the time. "She was very upset and with my mother she started whispering things. I couldn't hear them", adding that only later, when I was all two adults, did her sister tell her what had happened. In the book Lana claims that Robert Wagner, Natalie's husband, was responsible for her sister's death.

Natalie Wood died in 1981, and her death was initially classified as an accident.

In recent years, however, the investigation has been reopened and in 2018 the sheriff of the Los Angeles County called Wagner a "person of interest".
