The ProSieben program »TV Total« will apparently soon make a comeback.

This is reported, among others, by the online magazine »DWDL«, »t-online« and »Bild«.

According to "t-online" a pilot broadcast has already been recorded, while "Bild" states that a test broadcast should be recorded on Wednesday.

The tabloid also reports that the episode will be broadcast on Wednesday at 8.15 p.m.

In July, SPIEGEL had already reported on a new edition of the cult show.

However, Stefan Raab, the former moderator, will not be in front of the camera this time.

Instead, the 45-year-old cabaret artist Sebastian Pufpaff will host the new »TV Total«.

Raab, on the other hand, will work behind the scenes as a producer with his company Raab TV, a subsidiary of Brainpool.

Raab had been pursuing the idea of a "TV total" comeback since last year - at that time still under strict secrecy.

The broadcast slot should be at 8:15 p.m. in prime time, but not from Monday to Thursday, as was the case last, but once a week.

The program ran from 1999 to 2015, when the formalities were discontinued.

Subsequently, Raab largely withdrew from the public eye and from then on only worked behind the camera as a producer of various TV formats.

Sebastian Pufpaff previously worked for the public broadcasters and began his cabaret career in 2013 with his own 3sat show called »Pufpaffs Happy Hour«.

Other comedy formats followed, as well as appearances in the “heute show” on ZDF.
