Banco Bpm approves the new plan, 1 billion profit in 2024

Banco Bpm has approved the industrial plan to 2024 which provides for the achievement of a profit of around 740 million euros in 2023 and over 1 billion in 2024, with a return on tangible capital of over 9%. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - MILAN, 05 NOV - Banco Bpm has approved the industrial plan to 2024 which envisages the achievement of a profit of around 740 million euros in 2023 and over 1 billion euros in 2024, with a return on tangible capital of more than 9%.

A payout (percentage of profits earmarked as a dividend) is envisaged for the shareholders over the plan period of 40%.


    The new plan "is characterized by ambitious objectives achievable also thanks to the consolidated track-record achieved in recent years" and "is guided by strategic priorities that aim at significantly remunerating shareholders, meeting the expectations of the other main stakeholders (customers, colleagues, Supervisory Authority) and to take advantage of the opportunities offered by ongoing processes such as digitization and sustainability ", underlines the CEO, Giuseppe Castagna.


    The institute also closed the first nine months of the year with a net profit of 472 million euros, up 79.8% on the same period last year. At the adjusted level (adjusted), the profit, according to a note, stands at 565 million.


    The operating result, up 20.8% to 1.53 billion euros, confirms the "positive trend on revenues", which grew by 10.5% to 3.42 billion, "and on the cost containment recorded in the last few quarters ".


   The Cet 1 capital solidity indicator is growing quarterly over the quarter at 13.3%.

In the third quarter the profit was 110.7 million euros, higher than the consensus of 74 million (ANSA).
