The chocolate cappelletto is born in Ravenna

(ANSA) - RAVENNA - The chocolate cappelletto (in dialect 'caplét') is arriving, which reflects tradition, innovation and territory: it is the new gastronomic proposal launched in Ravenna by the 'Al Cairoli' restaurant by Attilio Bassini and Raffaella Polidori, which aims to conquer the Romagna and national food market through an innovative combination but deeply linked to the territory.

The new gastronomic proposal has been granted the patronage of the Municipality, since it is a product created in Ravenna, able to positively convey the image of the city.



"Creativity and identity - say the mayor Michele de Pascale and the councilor for tourism, agriculture and agri-food Giacomo Costantini - meet in this refined chocolate dedicated to cappelletto, an icon of fresh Romagna pasta. Our traditions and our history are well known in all over the world and can be relaunched by the innovative and far-sighted spirit of our entrepreneurs, always ready for new challenges, to deepen and experiment, but guided and inspired by craftsmanship, quality of ingredients, passion and beauty of the territory ". For Mauro Mambelli, president of Confcommercio, "this beautiful idea has the merit of bringing the tradition and image of the city and of Romagna to an important level. The cappelletto is theundisputed protagonist of Ravenna and Romagna gastronomy and this confectionary work of art will also be welcomed with enthusiasm as a 'souvenir product' ". The restaurateur Attilio Bassini adds:" We wanted to create an emblematic product and so our 'e Caplét' was born, a chocolate unique, inspired in name and shape by the myth of the Romagna table: the cappelletto.
