Presented as the largest liner in the world, "Wonder of the Seas" left Saint-Nazaire on Friday where it was built by the shipyards.

Direction Marseille.

Under the flashes of the curious, the "Wonder of the Seas" left the port of Saint-Nazaire on Friday, November 5.

The 362 m long and 66 m wide ship is expected in the Phocaean city for final finishing touches.

Built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique, its commercial operation is scheduled from next March.

It will be able to accommodate, crew included, more than 9,000 people on 16 floors.

Its buyer Royal Caribbean signed a contract in December 2012 with Chantiers de l'Atlantique for four very large ships.

The "Wonder of the Seas" was initially designed for the Chinese market which turned away from international cruises with the coronavirus crisis.

Reoriented towards American customers in the Caribbean, it was therefore necessary to change all the signs and switch from Mandarin to English.
