Today the day at Cop26 in Glasgow will be divided like yesterday on two stages.

On the one hand the conference inside the Scottish Event Center, on the other the demonstrators of Fridays for Future on the streets of the city.

The day at the conference is about nature and land use.

The aim is to demonstrate how governments, businesses, indigenous peoples, local communities and farmers can lead the transition towards a more sustainable management of the land and seas, protecting and restoring nature and reforming the agri-food system.

There is talk of how to direct investment flows towards "nature based solutions" for the fight against climate change and the initiative to make at least 30% of the marine surface a protected area. The "Fact Roadmap" to tackle the transition and the "Get Nature Positive" campaign for reforestation are also under discussion.

Finally, the role of indigenous communities for climate action and how their traditional knowledge can be combined with modern technologies will be addressed.

Outside the conference, the Fridays for Future climate march which, after the departure from Kelvingrove Park, will cross the center of Glasgow to Green Park.

Greta Thunberg will be there and will speak.

Scottish police expect 50,000 protesters, and warn that demonstrations are scheduled at 10 UK airports.
