(ANSA) - GLASGOW, 06 NOV - Today the day at Cop26 in Glasgow will be divided like yesterday on two stages. On one side the conference inside the Scottish Event Center, on the other the Fridays for Future demonstrators on the streets of the city. The day at the conference will focus on nature and use of the ground. The goal is to demonstrate how governments, businesses, indigenous peoples, local communities and farmers can lead the transition to more sustainable land and sea management, protecting and restoring nature and reforming the agri-food system. We will discuss how to direct investment flows towards "nature based solutions" to combat climate change and the initiative to make at least 30% of the marine surface a protected area. The "Fact Roadmap" is also undisputedto address the transition and the "Get Nature Positive" campaign for reforestation. Finally, the role of indigenous communities for climate action and how their traditional knowledge can be combined with modern technologies will be addressed. Outside of the conference, the Fridays for Future climate march will start at 11:30 am from Kelvingrove Park and run through central Glasgow to Green Park. Greta Thunberg will be present and speaking. Scottish police expect 50,000 protesters, and warn that demonstrations are scheduled at 10 UK airports.
