Sergio Perez exalts himself in front of the home crowd and closes the third free practice sessions of the Mexican GP in the lead, stopping the clock at a time of 1'17 "024. The Red Bull driver preceded his teammate, the Dutch Max Verstappen , aiming for the F1 world title; the reigning world champion, Lewis Hamilton, in a Mercedes, achieves the third time in 1'17 "675.

In fourth place the other Mercedes of the Finnish Valtteri Bottas (1'17 "708), and in fifth the Ferrari of the Spanish Carlos Sainz Junior (1'18" 029).

The other 'red' from Maranello, that of the Monegasque Charles Leclerc, has the ninth time (1'18 "213). Qualifying starts at 8pm.
