The police in Halle an der Saale gave the all-clear after a public notice of a threat situation on Autobahn 14.

"After intensive investigations by the criminal police, it was possible to assume a lack of seriousness very quickly," said the Halle police station at noon.

Accordingly, shortly after nine o'clock in the morning, an anonymous witness reported an allegedly impending attack by email.

The police had investigated the unspecific reference to a threat against bridges on Autobahn 14.

The police also said that the buildings had been examined in detail.

"There was no danger to public safety."

According to the police, numerous emergency services from the Saxony-Anhalt state police were in action, including a police helicopter.

First the "Bild" newspaper and Radio Brocken reported on the police operation.
