After the tragic incident on the set of his film "Rust" in which director of photography Halyna Hutchins was killed, Alec Baldwin asked Hollywood to hire a policeman on every set where weapons are used.
"Any movie or TV series that uses guns, real or fake, should have a cop on set, hired by the production, to specifically oversee gun safety," the actor wrote on his social media profiles.
Baldwin, protagonist and producer of "Rust", on October 21 in New Mexico had opened fire with a weapon that he believed was loaded with blanks and which instead killed Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza who was behind her.
In recent days, following what he called "a horrible event", Baldwin himself had asked to impose new rules on sets that made it mandatory to use plastic weapons and bullets during filming.
