Covid: commissioner Figliuolo in Turin, ahead with third doses

(ANSA) - TURIN, 08 NOV - The extraordinary commissioner for the Covid-19 emergency, General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, participated in the weekly meeting of the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region on the pandemic. And it accepted the request of the President Alberto Cirio to speed up the administration of the third dose also to the youngest, subject to the authorization of Cts and Ema, which "is proving to be an effective tool for containing infections and hospitalizations".


    President Cirio underlined the intention to continue with the third dose following the principle adopted for RSA, also in residences for minors, the disabled, psychiatric patients and addictions (10,500 people in all). In the past few weeks, Piedmont had already requested theauthorization to start with school staff as well.
