Collectives of nurse anesthetists (IADE) called for a week-long strike in hospitals from Monday, promising "a n

Obtain "fair recognition" from nurse anesthetists.

Collectives, rallied under the banner "IADE united", are covered by a strike notice filed by the CGT, for the period from November 2 to 11 inclusive, demanding "legislative, regulatory and financial recognition of their profession", including " the arduous nature of their exercise ”, as well as“ respect for their exclusive skills ”.

Nursing anesthetists "have been fighting for more than a year" and "have nothing more to lose", say the groups in a press release denouncing "the lack of government will to accede to their legitimate demands" in terms of status and salary.

To force the government's hand, they are calling for a “dead bloc” week, or a “black week without IADE”.

According to them, strong disruptions should be expected from this Monday in all operating theaters in the territory, with a clear slowdown in scheduled operating activity, excluding emergencies, ”they warn.

A hospital that is going badly

In addition to the issue of nurse anesthetists, the discontent at the hospital remains persistent.

The French Hospital Federation (FHF) is sounding the alarm, particularly on the financing of “Ségur”.

According to its president Frédéric Valletoux, it lacks at least 500 million to 700 million euros to finance the salary increases "of Ségur de la santé" this year.

Negotiated in the midst of the Covid-19 epidemic, the “Ségur de la santé” has resulted in a general increase in salaries and targeted upgradings for nearly 2 million staff in hospitals and retirement homes, public and private, for a total of 10 billion euros per year.

"If nothing is done, this underfunding will increase from year to year" and "the risk is great while the deficits are widening, paradoxically suffocating public establishments", he added.

To avoid this pitfall, he hoped that the next five-year term would give rise to "two programming laws, one for health, the other for autonomy", in order to define "a minimum rate of change in the funding of public hospitals ”.

The first should in particular make it possible to fill 25,000 vacant paramedical positions.

The second would set the objective of "recruiting 100,000 professionals within five years" in the old age sector, which "represents 4.5 billion euros in additional expenditure".
