(ANSA) - MILAN, 08 NOV - The founder of Telegram, PavelDurov, has announced the development of a paid version of the app, arriving by the end of November. The subscription, the costs of which are currently unknown, will allow you to do without official company advertisements, within already active conversation groups and channels. Nothing will change for individual chats, where there are no banners of any kind. "Many users have suggested introducing the possibility of disabling official advertising on Telegram channels," wrote the founder. "We have already started work on this new feature and we expect it to launch this month.

It could take the form of a low-cost subscription, which would allow any user to support us directly and financially in the development of Telegram, without seeing announcements in the channels. "Telegram unveiled its advertising platform at the end of October this year. As explained, the banners only appear in large channels, which support is associated with the higher costs for the developer. A sponsored post consists of a text and a button; by clicking on the latter, the user accesses the promoted website or channel. There are no images, while the "sponsored" label distinguishes it from a postnormal. At the moment, official advertisements are available on all channels with an audience of over 1000 users. The biggest concern for subscribers is about personal information and privacy. Doubts dispelled in the bud by Durov, who has always clarified how the ads will not be personalized, that is, they will not analyze the behavior of the individual to build targeted marketing campaigns.
