flour and cocoa into a bowl, add the butter and mix everything together.
Now add the sugar and enough water to make a smooth dough.
Shape it into a ball, wrap it in cling film and put it in the fridge for 15 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 190 ° C (top and bottom heat).
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface and line a greased tart pan / fruit cake pan (promotional link) with it.
Cover the base of the dough with baking paper and weigh it down with baking beans.
Blind bake
in the oven for 15 minutes
*
.
Then remove the parchment paper and beans and bake the bottom for another 10 minutes.
For the filling,
mix the butter and sugar in a bowl and gradually work in the eggs and cocoa.
Melt the chocolate in a water bath and pull it into the egg mixture with the cream and chocolate syrup.
Reduce the oven temperature to 160 ° C.
Pour the filling into the cake pan and bake for 45 minutes until set.
If the filling no longer wobbles when you shake the pan, the cake is ready.
Then let the chocolate cake cool and chill for at least an hour.
For the garnish, whip
the cream until stiff and brush the cake with it.
Garnish with chocolate chips or chips and serve.
* Blind baking
is a process of pre-
baking
quiches or tarts so that they can be filled later.
This is because only the edge opens, the floor should remain flat.
You need pulses such as lentils, peas or beans, which weigh down the dough.
You can also keep the legumes and use them for blind baking several times.
Have fun baking and enjoying this wonderful chocolate cake deluxe!
