Eight accredited centers designated by Damascus University to accept applications for the open education preference for the academic year 2021-2022, until the eighteenth of this month.

The supervisor of the Central Library Center at the Faculty of Law at Damascus University, Ali Hammoud, explained in a statement to SANA that students are received from nine in the morning until two in the afternoon, as 18 computers and a specialized team of employees and engineers have been secured to deal with the requests of applicants, in addition to the cadres of the National Union of Students Syria, which contributes to organizing the comparison procedures, guiding students and answering their questions.

The employee Jaber Ali explained that he receives the required papers and documents from the students and then directs them to enter their data into the computer electronically, indicating that students will be accepted in each program according to the sequence of the total secondary certificate grades after folding the mark of religious education and one of the two foreign languages.

A number of female students indicated the specializations they would like to study, where Ruqayya Kronfol expressed her desire to study translation, while the student Amira Ali Al-Saleh said that she wanted to study in the kindergarten program, while Ayat Nassar wanted to study in the small and medium enterprises program.

On the second of this month, Damascus University issued a trade-off for open education for the academic year 2021-2022, and specified the period of progress between the 7th and 18th of this month, and indicated that the available seats would be distributed between 50 percent for degree holders from 2009 and beyond and 35 percent for degree holders from 2002 to 2008 and 15 percent for pre-2002 degree holders.

The open education system at Damascus University includes translation and accounting programs, management of medium and small projects, kindergartens, legal studies, international studies, diplomacy, media, and a diploma in educational qualification.
