(ANSA) - CATANIA, 09 NOV - The death of an inmate of the Caltagirone prison on January 31 last seemed to be due to natural causes, but forensic examinations allowed to ascertain that Giuseppe Calcagno had been murdered instead.
And for the Prosecutor's Office to kill him would have been his then cellmate, who would have strangled him in his sleep.
The suspect for the murder, who was under house arrest, was arrested by the police.
The military has carried out an order of the investigating magistrate against him at the request of the prosecutor of Caltagirone, Giuseppe Verzera, and of the substitute Samuela Maria Lo Martire.
