A new advertising clip from Lidl brings back memories of a very popular spot with a famous footballer.
But this time the story ends differently.
Munich - In 2014, Coca-Cola landed a big coup.
In a commercial with national soccer goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, the lemonade manufacturer advertised its sugar-free product.
In the popular clip, a young woman handed her boyfriend a Coke Zero on the sofa: “By the way, that's not Coca-Cola at all.
This is Coke Zero - real taste, zero sugar, ”she said.
And added: “You see: if you want, you can have everything.
If you want, I'm not your friend at all ... but Manuel Neuer. ”Then, to the amazement of her boyfriend, the young lady turned into the DFB goalkeeper.
At the end of the clip, however, the ghost was over and the woman was back to herself.
Lidl copies coke advertising with Manuel Neuer - Ralf Moeller promotes vegan burgers
The commercial enjoyed great popularity and was re-enacted many times.
Now the supermarket chain Lidl apparently also took an example from the Coke spot with the captain of FC Bayern and copied it - but with a different celebrity and a different ending.
On the occasion of World Vegan Day on November 1st, Lidl published a commercial for vegan burger patties on Instagram.
For this, the company hired actor Ralf Moeller, who says he has been vegan for several years.
In the Lidl commercial, a young woman sits down with her husband on the couch and gives him a plate with a burger.
“By the way, that's not real meat at all.
These are the vegan burger patties from Vemondo - real taste, purely plant-based, ”she says.
Words that somehow sound familiar.
“You see: if you want, you can have everything.
If you want, I'm not your wife at all ... but Ralf Moeller, ”she continues and transforms into the action star.

Lidl advertising with Ralf Moeller: The Netflix series “Squid Game” also serves as a model
And in addition to the "copy" of the Cola clip, a successful Netflix series is also imitated.
Moeller wears a suit that is very reminiscent of that of the participants in "Squid Game".
With the amazed young man off the couch, he goes on a little trip to the gym, where they train together “for the game”.
In the next moment you can see Möller and the couch potato in a scene that seems like part of game one in "Squid Game".
The young man replies that he doesn't want to play the game and ends up back home with Moeller.
Möller tells him that "everything is back to normal".
But in contrast to the Cola advertising, Lidl does not have a happy ending including reconversion.
“What about my wife?” The burger friend asks.
Möller then tells him: “Well, you can't have everything.” And with a wink he bites into a vegan chocolate bar.
While Lidl and actor Moeller showed a lot of humor with the spot, another company recently had to withdraw its commercial.
Homophobic scenes were recognized in a clip for Snickers candy bars.
