The president Sergio Mattarella said this when he met the secretary general of the Council of Europe, Marina Pejcinovic Buric, at the Quirinal, on the occasion of the six-monthly presidency of the Committee of Ministers by Italy.
At the center of the talks the issue of human rights, the rule of law, support for democracy, with particular reference to the condition of women and the Istanbul Convention.
