The Cameroonian Joel Embiid, star of the Philadelphia 76ers, tested positive for Covid-19 and is expected to miss several NBA games, according to several US media.
Athletic and ESPN, the two media of reference for American basketball, report that the 27-year-old pivot is currently following the protocol provided by the NBA for players who have contracted Covid-19.
Embiid is expected to be out for "several games" according to ESPN, starting with Evan Fournier's and Julius Randle's encounter with the New York Knicks.
Another absence for the Sixers coach Doc Rivers, already deprived of Tobias Harris and Danny Green.
