(ANSA) - ROME, 09 NOV - If the proposals of the Scientific Committee for the revision of the Citizenship Income will be accepted, the maximum monthly benefit obtainable by a family of six who lives in rent could go from 1,330 euros per month to 1,540. This is what emerges from the proposals on the change in the equivalence scale which would lead to a reduction in the amounts for singles and an increase for large families. In practice, the maximum monthly benefit for a single would decrease from 6,000 euros a year (500 per month) to 5400 (450 per month) while the maximum threshold for a large family would go from 2.1 to 2.8 (2.9 if there are disabled). For minors the value would go from the current 0.2 to 0.4. So in a family with two parents and 4 children the value would be equal to 3 and you would be entitled to the maximum benefit, that is 15.120 euros per year (5,400 for 2.8). To these should be added 280 euros per month for the rent (3,360 euros per year) for a total of 18,480 euros per year (1,540 per month). (HANDLE).
