The Swedish company oumph offered the human hamburger to shoppers from a food truck in Stockholm and its heads claim that their goal was to show people how to enjoy a taste of meat, without actually eating meat.

Anken Linden, the founder of this company explained: "We developed the hamburger once we knew what the flavor and texture we needed. It's our ultimate and weird way to also show that it's possible to eat sustainable vegan meat."
When asked how they knew what taste they had to achieve in order to simulate the taste of human flesh they replied that they "devoted hours of research to it".
They claim the company's products can mimic any meat flavor, and the human adult is made from soy protein, mushrooms, seitan, starch and a secret spice blend.
The company's head chef admitted he had never tasted human flesh, however Smithsonian magazine once researched the question of human taste and concluded that it would probably look like beef, but would have more pork or veal flavor.
Because Oumph makes pork-like substitutes as well as vegan beef burgers that taste like meat, they seem to have used expertise in creating the texture and flavors that will feel like human flesh - and it's not that many people can challenge their claim that the taste is similar.
