After the alleged robbery and murder of a German researcher and his daughter in Paraguay, the police in the South American country arrested a German.
At least two other German citizens are wanted, said the head of the homicide department of the national police, Hugo Grance, on Tuesday the radio station Monumental.
All three are suspected of being involved in the crime and possibly being behind it.
The victims were the well-known archaeologist Bernard von Bredow and his daughter Loreena.
As a possible motive, Grance named the robbery of valuable, old instruments that the victim owned.
In addition to firearms, musical instruments that allegedly belonged to the victim were found in an apartment of the arrested person in the city of Areguá.
This was reported by the newspaper "ABC Color", citing the commissioner.
The bodies of the 62-year-old and the 14-year-old girl were discovered in the family home near Areguá, around 30 kilometers southeast of the capital Asunción.
According to the Federal Foreign Office, the incident occurred on October 22nd.
Investigators found evidence of torture
Both victims died from gunfire, presumably from the same weapon, said forensic doctor Héctor Meza.
The father was killed with a shot in the neck - there are indications that he had previously been tortured.
His daughter was found in a bathtub filled with water, the investigators said.
However, there are indications that the young person could have been shot at another location.
In addition, the rooms were searched.
There were numerous blood stains in the house.
The father was a scientist from Bavaria.
His Paraguayan papers were issued in 2016, so he had been living in the South American country for at least five years, at least temporarily.
Media reports said that he also repaired musical instruments such as violins.
