After the Duhamel scandal, accused of incest, Sciences-po finally has the name of its new director.

The senior official Mathias Vicherat has just won hands down the vote of the National Foundation for Political Science this Wednesday evening, according to information from L'Express.

The day before, it had already been approved by the council of the Institute of Political Studies (IEP).

Obtaining the approval of the two boards of Sciences-po is necessary to take the head of the institution.

At 43, Mathias Vicherat has an already opulent CV: when he left the ENA, years during which he met Emmanuel Macron (promotion Léopold Sédar Senghor), Mathias Vicherat became sub-prefect, then director of cabinet of Bertrand Delanoë , of which he remains very close, and Anne Hidalgo. He joined SNCF in 2017 as number 2 in the group, for two years. Marie Drucker's companion then succeeds Emmanuelle Wargon, Minister Delegate in charge of Housing, as Danone's General Secretary. He is also the author of an essay entitled "For the textual analysis of French rap".

Two other candidates were part of the short list to take the head of Sciences-po: Olivier Faron, general administrator of the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts, and Christine Musselin, researcher at Sciences-po and specialist in university policies.

The choice of the two Sciences-po councils will now be sent to the Minister of Higher Education and will then be the subject of a decree from the President of the Republic and a decree from the Minister, Frédérique Vidal.
